Graeme Langager

Graeme Langager serves as Choral Director, St. John’s Shaughnessy, Vancouver, and Director of Choral Activities at the University of British Columbia School of Music. Langager is sought-after as a guest conductor, adjudicator, and clinician. He has performed throughout Europe and across North America, appearing in such venues as San Marco in Venice, St. Peter’s Basilica at the Vatican, St. Stephan Domkirche in Vienna, Carnegie Hall, and in cathedrals and concert halls in Spain, Italy, France, Austria, England, Ireland and the Czech Republic. Langager’s choirs have also performed at prestigious choral conferences and festivals in Canada, the United States, and Europe. Langager served as the artistic director and conductor of the acclaimed Phoenix Chamber Choir in Vancouver from 2012-2018, during which the choir released three commercial CDs.

Langager was born into a musical family, singing and playing instruments from an early age. He has received graduate degrees from the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music, and California State University, Long Beach. He has taught for more than 25 years in universities and colleges in the United States and Canada, and is also active as a composer and arranger.
