Bible Study on Zoom

Have you ever wrestled with questions about the crucifixion? Did Jesus have to die? When we say that he gave his life for our salvation, what do we mean? This week, the Ven. Dr. Richard Leggett will talk to us about how Christians through the ages have understood Jesus’ role in reconciling us to God. We will look at Scripture, theology, and the hymns and prayers Anglicans use today to explore different interpretations of the atonement.

Richard Leggett is Professor Emeritus of Liturgical Studies at Vancouver School of Theology. He recently retired as the Vicar of Holy Trinity Cathedral in New Westminster and as the Archdeacon of Westminster.
